John Reiter began his love of photography some forty five years ago. As an international, award winning nature and wildlife photographer, he travels to various locations around the world. In addition, he offers portrait, catalog and event photography as well as local, one-on-one "personal training" in digital photography. John attended the Lepp Institute of Digital Imaging and completed training by Nikon, Epson, Adobe, NAPP and others. He considers himself fortunate to have photographed with, and been mentored by, some of today's finest pro photographers including Darrell Gulin, Adam Jones, Rick Sammon, Daniel Cox, Joe & MaryAnn McDonald and many others.
John's work has won numerous awards including two time winner of the Nature's Best Windland Smith Rice Award. Six of his images were recently named as semi-finalists in the Veolia Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition sponsored by the London Museum and BBC Wildlife Magazine. In addition, John's images have appeared in a number of national magazines and are currently on display in many private collections. John's work has also been featured in various galleries including a major, six month exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC and at the Etat Sauvage Exposition in Montreal.
Two new galleries featuring Patagonia and Argentina have been added to my portfolio...
Pantagonia is a photographer's paradise... located in Argentina and Chilie, it's massive peaks, marvelous waterfalls, and incredibly blue glaciers are just part of what makes this a very special place. Add spectacular glowing sunsets and sunrises, lenticular clouds and icebergs and you've got a combination that is hard to beat anywhere in the world.
