Wormsloe Plantation - Savannah
Wormsloe is Savannah's oldest plantation and dates back to the 18th century. The property has over 400 stately oak trees covered in Spanish moss giving it a very mysterious and surreal look. On the day of my arrival, as luck would have it, the plantation was closed and it was raining. I positioned myself at the locked front gate and photographed thru the iron bars (while the rain came down). In retrospect, I think the rain added to the look of the property and, best of all, there were no cars parked on the entrance road. This turned out to be a rare moment that may have conveyed a better sense of what the property looked like hundreds of years ago when Savannah was founded.
